Replaced old thermostat with this one last season and the heat worked fine. Now, switching to Air Conditioning, the thermostat will NOT work. The FAN will not even come on!!! I have tried everything from reprogramming the thermostat to changing the batteries to flipping the switch in the house that sends the electric to the furnace/AC (It's gas). Before I call someone and have them come out to fix it, I wanted to see if anyone had any ideas. Now, part of the reason I switched the thermostat was because every season when I would switch from heat to AC or AC back to heat, I would have a similar problem. I thought that was all over with since I didn't have a problem switching it to heat when I switched it over. PLEASE HELP
I looked all over the internet, too, to see if I could find a user manual for the thermostat...maybe that would help...but I couldn't even find that!!! Seems like the only place I could find any info about it was at HOME DEPOT website where I purchased it. Here is the link http://www.homedepot.com/prel80/HDUS/EN_US/diy_main/pg_diy.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@2040017067.1149201943@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccciaddhmeigflfcgelceffdfgidgnk.0&CNTTYPE=PROD_META&CNTKEY=misc/searchResults.jsp&MID=9876&N=2984+3573&pos=n05

Here's how I fixed my problem I had two wires backwards:
RH (BLue wire) / RC (red wire) / I had these two backwards now everything is working fine. There is also a link in one of the other messages about a honeywell t-stat and I was able to download the instructions for this model.

jump out Y and RC If the unit turns on it the T stat.If that dosnt work its probably the stat wire or the control board. Buy the same T stst and return the old one to wally world.

How do you know the tooth fairy isnt a crazy glue sniffer? Make sense don't It.

Have you found a resolution to your problem yet? I am having the very same problem with mine. I drywalled my living room and replaced my old school round thermostat with the Honeywell RTH230B and the heater worked and still does although now the AC wont turn on. The problem I'm having is that the starter (so I'm told it's called) will not actuate but I can do it manualy and the fan/air box is not coming on either. An electrician that I work with told me to trace the wires back that come from the top of my heating unit and check the "box" that they go to. Anyway we are going to check it out this weekend. If you have fixed your problem could you please post it back here and I'll do the same. Good luck!

Still no luck yet but will let you know if i find out the trouble. I tried somethings again today, but no luck. Thank goodness that it isn't TOO warm today!!! lol Think I might have to actually call an electrician to come out.
Good luck!

The electrician that has been helping me seems to think that it is the thermostat itself. I'm going to go to Wally World tomorrow and pick up another old style round one and try that then I'll just take it back when I'm done ;)
