I have a Fraser-Johnston (Luxaire) g9t... furnace that wont fire.The igniter doesn't glow. I have 4.85 volts to the ignitor when the stat is calling for heat. the controll board flashes four red fast,nothing for 10 seconds then 4 red again.

On most units a code 4 is off on high limit.

if I bypass the high limit (ie short the 2 leads) to get temporary heat will it destroy the control mod?
