Hello...
I am trying to replace an old Honeywell T8195B with a Hunter 44110. This is located in a condominium with the A/C unit on the roof and the fan and elec. heating unit in the ceiling. I have located the thermostat wire in the ceiling and it is split and wired as indicated in this image.

I have reviewed many postings and just can't get this to work. When I re-install the old Honeywell thermostat everything works so I have not done any damage to the system.
Can you help? Thanks.

Cannot get the picture to view.
Try this link: http://www.hvacmechanic.com/forums/hvacr/messages/11275.htm Somebody else had the same problem. I would NEVER recommend a Hunter tstat as they are nothing but trouble. Your setup sounds complicated and I would recommend you get the unit properly maintained/serviced and buy a good White Rodgers stat from the serviceguy and have him install it.
Good Luck

Sorry I am not familiar with this unit. Is it a heat pump? I would stay away from the Hunter stat and go with the White Rodgers. Maybe someone else can help. The line drawing is okay.

I believe it is just an electric heater with an A/C unit. Thanks...

I think I have what is called a heat pump and this thermostat is not compatible with it. Still researching this.

I have confirmed. The Hunter 44110 and Honeywell RTH230B that I have are not compatible with a heat pump. Now I know what a heat pump is. Live and learn. Thanks for the help.
