My Furnace first had a problem with the fan running continuously. I replaced the limit control switch and it worked again for about two days then not working anymore. This time, I don't see sparkling at the igniter when the furnace is turned on.

I replaced the old circuit board (CESO110018) to a new one (ICM271) but I still don't see any sparkling at the igniter.

I checked the terminals R and W on the circuit board, they are close when the thermostat "calls for heat".

Do I have a bad igniter or a bad ignition control board? How I can isolate it?

I have the same problem with two Carrier Day & Night that have 394jaz in their product and model ids.

Have replaced the HBC Igniter/Lockout Control 2-3 times but keeps happening.

Have you solved your problem? If so what did you do to solve it?

Thanks for sharing this info.

LOL............check the limit .........if its open again, you better start concentrating on whats making that limit open.Lack of air flow from a dirty filter, plugged evaporator coil, or secondary heat exchanger.

Thanks for your suggestion. It turned out to be a bad connection at the terminal 4 of the Gas Valve. Thanks again.
