I had the honeywell pro 3000 thermostat and I just bought the Trane 800xl.

The old honeywell was straight forward

E- white wire
Aux - Black wire
Y - yellow wire
G- green wire
O - orange wire
L - nothing
R- red wire
B- nothing
C- power blue wire

The new trane 800xl

Had Y2
F
X2
W1
S1
S2
RC
R
O
Y
G
B

I hooked them up per what I could tell from the diagram as all the colors matching up and putting the back in X2 and the white in W1 but nothing ever comes on.

Please help

It looks like a honeywell touchscreen stat on Trane's website.
Did you turn off power to the furnace before replacing the stat?
You may have blown a fuse. Does the fan come on when you touch red to green?

Unfortunalty I did not see a breaker in the main panel for one the only thing my system has is a box outside and one on the air handler that does not have a breaker or fuse inside but a black pull out that has it on if inserted one way and off if put in upside down. I pulled those and and put them back in but nothing. No fan with the red and green wire either. Would there be a breaker somewhere else?

Also do the colors match the lables?

The one thing good about it if I have burned something up it is a new house and still has warranty but I can't tell the builder I was trying to replace the stat nor ask him about the new one since they will know i did it then :-(

I mean a low voltage fuse. Usually a 3 amp (automotive type) fuse for gas heat or a 5 amp fuse for electric heat. It would be in your furnace if its 1992 or newer. If you don't have a fuse you need a 24 volt transformer. What kind of furnace do you have?

Looks right, Trane uses B for C (common). Be sure to jumper RC and R.
