I can't get my heat to fire up when I command it via the t-stat. It quit working in April when we had a strong wind storm, I tried to relight the pilot light, and failed. Since it was the end of the cold season it was perfect timing for my heat to quit. So i put it on my to do list for the summer. Well, it's sept. and it's about to get cold again. So when I turn the heat on, my unit just blows cold exhaust out and nothing happens inside. Is this the Pressure switch, or am I not lighting the pilot light correctly, or neither? I'm pretty handy, I can build a home from the ground up, but I know very little about hvac units. thanks for your help.
Don't force it just feel it.

Chances are if there is a pressure switch, there is no pilot light. There's probably an intermittent pilot or hot surface ignitor. Verify that you have 24V accross the pressure switch terminals, when the inducer motor is running. If you do your problem is either the ignitor or module.
Do you smell gas at any point? Or hear a click at the gas valve?
