Tech just told me I got a leak in system...He don't know where but thinks its indoor a-coil...he doesn't do leaks....gotta send out a leak check specialist..The same company that sold me this has a service agreement to check system every 6mo.s yeah I bought in to that to avoid the problem I'm having now...I feel blindsidded. And check this the tech was here to do his 6 mo. check up oct1,last ck up 12/06....My warenty expired June...And they are jacking for $500.00.Ironic 5 years ago I bought a heatpump and new furnance to replace one that was in house 13 years my use....But had bad a-coil..It was going to cost so much...And I could be saving money with a more efficent unit. For Who? for Them$$$$$$I'm getting forked in the 402

A good company would extend your warr. we used to do it all the time, if a unit went south just after the warr we would still get it warr thru the manufacture, they don't have a date when the unit was installed and put into service they just take the dealers word for it. i would call the manager and tell him the same thing you are telling us, if they don't want to lose a good customer they will warr it, if they don't I would find a new company to deal with, no reason to stay with them if they aren't doing you any favors.a couple months after warr we would always hook the customer up in those cases, a year is another story.
