The new one is not Heat Pump compatable
Pay no attention to fitter his threads are crossed.

HVAC REPAIR IS NOT A DIY WEEKEND PRODJECT we techs that know this have 20 + years in the field and we have years and years of education. Trust me if you think you know it all you know nothing compared to a experenced trained technician.

Arg! Everywhere I look online for the tech info on this unit says its heat pump compatible. I just don't want to pay someone to come out and say "yup, this won't work!"
** Edit.. looks like I should have bought the W8665E instead.

Granted it is not compatible but you can jumper the O to the Y

In the heat mode you would only run your heat strip. Not very efficient and it might not keep up.
"Tip of the Day" Remember to remove power first.
