We're replacing our old Trane tstat with a Honeywell. The new tstat only has 5 terminals, but we have 6 wires from our Trane. Can you help?
Old wires: R, B, W1, W2, Y, G New terminals: Rh, Rc, W, Y, G
What do we do with the extra W wire? Also, there is a jumper between Rh and Rc. The installation instructions are clear for installations with 2, 3, 4, or 5-wire installs, but no mention of a 6-wire install.
Please help! Thanks!

Your 2 options are to cap off B and connect W1 and W2 to your new W, Or, return that stat and buy a 2 stage heat stat.
"Tip of the Day" Remember to remove power first.
