On the 48GS series, the roll out switch will be found near the burner tray. From a terminal strip located inside the unit, look for 2 blue wires coming off of the RS terminals. Follow these wires to your roll out switch. This may not be a resetable switch. If it is there will be a small post sticking out of the switch between the two wire lugs. Find out why the switch had to pop. Check the venting for obstructions.

If they don't find ya handsome nor handy surgery may help!

Unfortunately, that switch is not resetable. I have the identical model and the same rollout switch fault.

The repairman that came to my house told me that the enducer(sp?) motor was "completely rusted" and wants to replace the entire assembly... for about $500 plus labor.

My question is: Is there any way I can just have the motor replaced instead of the entire assembly? Would this even make sense?

Second question: My AC needed a new coil last year and now this... the unit is less than 6-years old. What gives? How can the blower motor "rust out"?
