Installed a furnace (Bryant Plus 90 - Model #350MAV036080) this weekend at my cottage and everything works fine as far as the Thermastat and Heat ... But when it's time for it to shut down the blower continues to run. I was steered towards the circuit board by someone who wanted to charge me to change it (an arm and a leg). I did a search and seen there may be a blower circuit board and a main circuit board. After reading someone elses problem on this forum - I also seen this may just be a problem with some dial inside the thermastat that needs adjusting any ideas ...I will not pay someone to fix this at their rates.

Ya a Bryant plus 90 with fan running constantly is probably something simple but how you managed to get that furnace while not being a contractor pisses me off quite frankly. Being that I am a Bryant dealer if you somehow got some supplier to sell you a high end furnace that no one but a dealer is supposed to be able to sell and then you knock the trade saying we charge to much why the hell would you expect someone to step forward and help you for free. HVAC techs are pricey because its an expensive trade to be in. That furnace and the parts on it are pricey because of the high end technology in it. If you had gone through the proper channels when you purchased it any Bryant dealer would come out and fix it under warranty directly from Bryant. Most likely you screwed up the wiring or even just have the fan on manual.

12years as a service tech in Ottawa and the valley. Just left Direct Energy to start my own company. Go to www.reliableheating.ca or email me at adrian@reliableheating.ca

Apparently, I pissed off some guys by saying that the person who I contacted charged an arm and a leg (it was a personal issue) --Not a knock on the profession and its professionals as a whole--just the person I spoke with -- Sorry it was worded wrong. I Am also a contractor and realize the hard work of working in the cold and getting my prices beat down by every one and their brother and not getting paid. Hence the self installation.

I will not pay someone to fix this at their rates.

What an insult to the professional individuals who give there time freely to this site. Who went to school to learn the trade, who are outside in the extreme cold and heat to fix your problem. Ask and we will help be argorant and I will let you pay.

I assume from the post you tried to save a buck and install your own.

Is your stat fan switch set to auto?

Do you have 24 vac on the G terminal?

Did you check and set temp rise and your furnace didn't overheat and cause the limit to trip?

Again see last post from DJSMSNRY - I did not write this to piss people off.

I had an electrician help me with the installation.

Tried the stat fan switch to auto - same result.
Not sure of the 24 vac on G terminal -will check with my electrician.

I did check and set the temp rise - same result.

The fan runs as soon as i flip on the switch as if it was hardwired, of course this is not the case.

Thanks for your suggestions - again, my apologies for the insult it wasn't meant to be across the profession we all know how hard we all work.

Either at the stat or furnace remove th wire on the G terminal. Fan should stop.
A connection on the G terminal is needed for A/C and for manule fan at the stat.

This unit does not have a/c on it. The "G" terminal you speak of may be on there but it's not hooked up, there are only two wires on it - Red(?) and Yellow. Not sure if something was tried my electrician was trying something with the thermastat w/o relief. I wish i could explain more.

Thanks again for the info.

Don't know if you have insurance on your cottage but if anything goes wrong with that unit and there has been no permit/tagged by a licensed gas fitter you may be in deep sh*t/liability wise.
