Please advise! I'm replacing a thermostat. The old one is a Ruud thermostat and the New one is a Hunter 44860 2stage heat/2 stage cool. From reading the forums I know u like Honeywell, I like the big touchscreen that hunter has. Here is what I have to work with. Thanks in advance!!!!
Ruud Thermostat
G = green
R = red
B = blue
O = Orange
y = yellow
W2/E = white
X = brown

Hunter 44860
Y1 = ____ = Cooling stage 1
Y2 = ____ = Cooling stage 2
W2 = ____ = Heating stage 2
G = ____ = Fan
RH = ____ = HTPS With jumper to RC/R
RC/R = ____ = CTPS
L = ____ = System Monitor
C = ____ = 24VAC Common
O = ____ = Cool Mode Powered Reverse Valve
E = ____ = Emergency Heat
W1 = ____ = Heating stage 1

If you forget to turn off power to your fancoil before replacing your thermostat, you risk damaging your transformer.

RC/R = red
C = brown
Y1 = yellow
W2 & E = white
O = orange
B = blue
G = green

Be sure to configure your new stat for heat pump operation as described on pages 28 and 29.

"Tip of the Day" Remember to remove power first.

need to replace my thermostat (luxpro psmh45) I bought the Hunter 44860 (because of the touch screen & 7 day programing) Where do I need to cut the power? At the fuse box? (sorry for the dumb question... single mom, doin' my best *grin*)
