14 year old York (P2MPD14NO8001B). Every now and then, the burners will not ignite. The diagnostic LED blinks 4 flashes then pause (Open high limit switch).

Check your air filter and make sure it's clean. After you do that, call for service before the thing kills you or your family.

Filter's in good shape. I change it out monthly. Before it kills me ??????????????????????????

If your hi limit opens. It may indicate a bad heat exchanger which can omit carbon monoxide and if cracked heat ex is bad enough, may even cause a fire. Not trying to scare you, just better to be safe than sorry.
