hi,
I have a Carrier/Crusader model#58DHC075-111JC, The unit was working fine until about 8 hrs ago, Seems the blower fan won't shut off. I've tried all blower delay jumper settings,unplugging the main power,confirming continuity in thermostat wiring with no results. also because of the fan not shutting down, the ignition phase for the heat is not working. the thermostat is a Honeywell mercury type which controls both the heat and A/C. could it possible be the blower motor relay? and is it replaceable. And before you say it...if i could afford a service call right now. I'd do so..............thnx in advance

It sounds like one of the 24 volt safeties is open or stuck open. It could be a weak primary limit switch that has stuck open, or a pressure switch.
It could be a more serious safety that would have to be reset. A roll out switch, vent switch ect... It's probably best to have it looked at, rather then just reset the safety.

thnx for the reply....i will check out the 24v circuit and switches if that shows ok I guess I'll have to make that service call! just out of curiosity what or how is a safety reset performed? I appreciate your time and knowledge. Also I unplugged the red power wire which killed the blower motor then ran the test phase on the circuit board....everything checked out on the self test including the high/low blower function....according to the decal the test function will not operate if any signal is present from the g y w wire from thermostat....is it possible that the thermostat could be my whole problem? I had the thermo switched to auto/heat@75deg.

If one of the thermal safeties is open the board thinks there is an unsafe/overheated furnace condition and will keep the fan running to "cool" off the furnace. If there is a red reset button press it once and only once to get the unit reset and running. Then call a tech to find out why it happened. A dirty filter/poor airflow can cause repeated cycling of one of them and eventually blow it. If it is a counterflow/reverse flow/ducts under the house unit then there may be one on the back/top of the blower fan, have to search for it.

excellent!! that worked out fine Yuri , thanx!...And yes I called a service tech and he will be here tomorrow to check out the cause.you guys are great! Will be donating to this site cause it's a wonderful thing!
