Do you not still have the instruction book with it? It gives detailed instructions on how to replace 100s of different boards with that one. If I had one in front of me I could tell you how to do it. Post a list of the tabs on the s86 and I can tell you.

I did not get an instruction manual. The tabs on the honeywell control are
1-MV , 2-MV/PV, 3-PV, 4-GRD(Burner), 5-24V(Burner), 6-24V, 7-TH-W, 8- Sense, 8-Spark

Please rememeber I am going from a Johnson Control PN:G765BCA-12 to a Honeywell S8610u 1003

Thanks in advance for any help

MV on module to MV on gas valve
MV/PV to common on gas valve
PV to PV
Grd(burner) normally there is a green wire either to the pilot or else to a screw grounded on the furnace.
24vburner is where your 24v line that goes through the pressure switch and safeties
24V is unused
thw is the 24v neutral
sense is the flame sensor wire-if you dont have a flame sensor wire then leave the little black jumper on it if you do pull off the black jumper and clip off the tab for it and marrett it off
Spark is the high tension lead for the sparker most times you need the adapter in the little plastic bag that comes with the kit.

Hope that helps

p.s if nothing happens switch thw wire to 24v but 99% of the time the boards used the thw to match up to the old one

what were the terminals on the johnson control

Be careful sometimes you don't get a second chance

The terminals on the Johnson control are:

Flame sense - white wire
Main valve - copper wire
Power - Red wire
Ground - Yellow wire
On the face of the johnson control there is a socket with an 8MM connection like a spark plug I am sure I will need to change the connector and this should go to the spark on the Honeywell control
