Hello all
i am having trouble with my ruud 90 achiever plus furnace, It will start the inducer fan comes on and all then sneds signal to the dsi ( ignitor ) and the ignitor will click a few times and then does not light and goes into lockout for an hour. It is getting spark, i cleaned flame sensor & ignitor but with no avail. The if you turn power off and try again while Ignitor is SPARKING i blow across main burners and it lights no problem and runs til set temp is reached. Then same things happens.. I tryied to blow air from compressor to clean burners but no luck. Any ideas.. I am hvac certified but i do mainly new installs no service..

those style of burners have to be pulled and thoroughly cleaned with compressed air...if you try to clean in place, it just blows more lint into the crossovers.

did u take apart the pilot and clean the pilot orafice?

thanks for the info. i will try to take burners out, well i am sure i can get them out, the problem will be can i get them back in ... lol
