I'm going to install this T-Stat for my upstairs zone (Trane Heat Pump) which is electric with Auxiliary and Emergency Heat. Wiring is pretty straight forward, but I was questioning the set up functions, Settings and Options. Based on what the info here and the installer set up guide it says the following:

0170 = 7
0190 = 0

However, what is your advise/recommendation on the following:

0240 = 9 (electric furnaces)
0250 = Should not apply, so would I keep this at 5 Gas or oil furnaces of less than 90% efficiency even though it's electric in the upstairs and there is no second stage.

I'll try and help here until Houston comes along... : )

If you chose option 170/7 then option 240 should not come up, as you have chosen a heat pump. Option 250 is for your back up electric, and that should be set to 9 CPH

Thank you for the info. I wasn't sure about them and I always saw the 170 and 190 commands, but didn't know about these others.
