I have a Lennox thermostat and heat pump currently. We recently purchased the Honeywell RTH7500. We have A/C, heat, and emergency heat. I'm not sure about the wiring that is coming into the old thermostat, which I think is a multi-stage. I don't have the numbers off the stat because I am at work right now. Here's what I'm looking at; terminals on the left, wire color on right.
O - Orange G - Green Y1 - Yellow R - Red L - Brown T - Blue (I understand that I do not need this wire with the new programmable thermostat) C - Black W1 - White & a lighter Reddish Pinkish than the Red on "R" (2 separate wires connected to this terminal. I this reddish one goes to the Emergency heat light on the thermostat.) E - Nothing connected
There are diagrams all around, but here are the terminals on the new unit.
RC, R, O/B, Y, G, C, L, E, Aux
Any help would be appreciated! I'm a little stuck!
Thanks, Wardzy

Thanks! That's what I ended up doing basically. I thought that may be the setup and decided to go ahead and do it when I got home last night. I need to get some wire to jump "E" and "Aux" though. Seems to be working fine so far!
Hard to tell if this is going to save money over the long haul... it was 8 degrees here overnight, so the thing ran most of the night!
Thanks again for replying!
