I plan on installing a Steling Unit heater in the shop. It is a seperate combustion type. One of the specs says the vent has to be 3 ft down from any overhang. The overhang on my shop is a bit less then 2 ft. It is a fan powered vent. Can the vent be extended to comply or is there any other trick thing I can do?? Idealy it would be down about 15 inches from the overhang.

Thanks for anyones help and insight here.

You may want to contact the manufacturer or distributor about that. All of those specs are there so you don't end up with swirling wind/pressure switch tripping problems and are field tested to work. Ignore them and you may have a problem. In my area the gas inspectors are EXTREMELEY picky and will measure that distance and compare it to the installation manual and not pass the installation.

Thanks Yuri. I guess I can run it to the front of the shop and it will look pretty ugly but better that then dead!!

Thanks for your input.
