I am in the midst of replacing my old Trane t-stat with a new Honeywell RTH7000. So far, all the wires go where directed as per the instruction guide. However, I am left with one wire "T" that has no position on the new Honeywell T-Stat. Can anyone tell me what to do with this wire?

New config.(Honeywell) (Lt.side) C,G,Y,O/B,Rc,R (Rt.side)Aux, E,L
Old config(Trane) (Lt.side)B,G,Y,O,(no Rc),R(Rt.side)W, X2,

Note: Each letter of the New is connected to its corrosponding letter of the Old with the exception of "L" (new) which has no wire. (i.e. C-B, G-G, Y-Y, O/B-O, R-R, Aux-W, E-X2 as per the Honeywell instructions) again,Q: Where to put "T"

Thanks!

Tape off your old T. Todays thermostats do not require a thermister. (See note #2)
option 170 = 7
option 190 = 0

Well, all wiring is where it is supposed to be,but compressor isn't turning on. Fan-Auto doesn't turnon even if I override the temp to 95F. Fan-on works fine, but of course w/o Heat!

Thanks!

Your new thermostat must be configured for heat pump operation.
Set option 170 to 7.
Set option 190 to 0.
