I'm replacing my White-Rodgers thermostat (model 1F58W-72) with a Honeywell Vision RTH7400D. The original had a wire to X1 terminal and the honeywell manual provides no instructions on where this one should be connected on the RTH700D. The original answer was to connect the X1 to C on the honeywell but I also have an O and a B and according to the Honeywell instructions the O shoud go to the O/B abd the B should go to the C. Should I also put the X1 on C?

X1 = common

It is uncommon for heat pumps to use both O and B for the reversing valve. Most brands use O. What brand is your outdoor unit?

Some entry level motorized zone systems are the exception.
