I have a kenmore gmp100-3 furnace and I'm having a problem with the heating cycle. When I put the thermostat in heat mode for the first time the furnace comes on and heats the house to the desired temp. but the next time it calls for heat the burners ignite and I wait for the blower to come on and it doesn't. It will do this four times and then the furnace shuts down.

Yes, the GMP model number indicates this furnace was manufactured by Goodman Mfg. Sears just put their Kenmore brand on it.

Sounds like you may have an issue with the blower relay in the IFC control board. If the blower does not energize, the limit switch will open after the burners fire to prevent overheating. Could be an intermittent problem.

Another possibility is your blower motor itself is going out on internal overload, or may have a weak capacitor.

Can you turn on the blower at the thermostat? (Fan switch in "On" position). It could be the blower heat relay failing. If you can run the blower from the T-stat, this should energize the blower in high speed, normally used with central AC operation.

Cars don't run and furnaces don't heat without a little TLC
