I have a Waterfurnace Envision Split (ES038).
I want to connect the hot water assist to my hot water tank which is not yet connected. In the manual it says to use a single 80Gal hot water tank or 2 50 Gal tanks with one bieng dedicated to the geothermal as a preheated tank. I currently have a 40Gal electric tank. Should I just connect it to my 40 Gal? Or should I buy a single 80Gal tank? or should I go for a second dedicated tank as a preheated tank and if so, can I use a 40Gal for the preheated instead of the recommended 50Gal? (I can get a used 40Gal very cheap)
*** I'm looking for the most effeciency ofcourse! ***
Thanks,
Dre

Geothermal installs are pricey and efficient I wouldnt skimp on what they recommend as you problably have invested a nice sum of money on system I would go with what is recommended for optimum effiency
