I have an Teledyne Laars Mini-Therm II residential gas fired hydronic boiler, Model JV using propane. Ever since I purchased the unit, which was probably 15-20 years ago, I've had an intermittent problem of the gas igniting at one of the three the orifices when starting. It usually happens at the one that's the closest to the igniter, but occasionally it will be the one furthest away. I have to shut it off and turn it back on after a minute or so. I've tried to adjust the air/gas mixture with the collar but still it will happen once every week - month or so. I also have a 6" tube next to the furnace which will supply fresh air from an outside vent. Any suggestions. Thanks

Are thre burner orfices properly sized? Has the incoming gas pressure and the manifold pressure been checked?
If in doubt call a pro !

At the beginning I had the "regional Rep" check it out a few times, of course it would never happen when he was there? I had the outside regulator on the LP tank changed & supposedly the orifices were changed to LP, not positive about that though. Thanks for your reply.
