HOW DO YOU WIRE A FAN RELAY, WHEN THE RELAY ON THE BOARD IS NOT OPERABLE?

When mine went on my board I got a fan relay with a 90 second run time after call for heat or ac ended,I just ran a t-stat wire from w terminal to coil of relay and a wire from common to other side of coil,cut fan wire and put spade connectors on ran 120 volt wire to normally open side of relay and fan wire to other side of normally open relay

I KNOW HOW TO REPLACE A BOARD, BUT IF YOU DON,T HAVE A BOARD, AND IT,S LATE IN THE DAY AND YOU WANT TO GET THE CUSTOMER HEAT, HOW IS IT WIRED IN?

You could probably wire a relay in so that it is energized with w when you get a call for heat. That would work but you you would lose the delay because the blower would come on with the burner. Another option to get you through the night would be to run the blower continuously

PS: The problem you will have wiring a relay in with w is when the call for heat is satisfied burner goes off and so does the blower. Furnace will be hot and it will raise hell with your limit. The better way of the two is to hook up the blower so that it runs continous until you can get a board

Thanks for the response. when you say wire it in the heating circuit, does w and r go to the coil, and the open set of contacts go to the fan motor?

No w will be your 24 volts just tie another wire onto w terminal inside unit and put on coil side then you will need a common so run another wire from c terminal to other side of coil so when a call for heat is on the coil will pull in also and run fan and yes fan wire will go to norm open but you have to run a wire for 120 volts from board to one side to power fan.You will need a relay with a 90 second timer as stated in prior post so blower will run after call for heat for 90 secs to cool down chamber these you will have to run a wire from r and common also to tabs on timer board if I remember correctly to power timer board also,not hard to do they come with diagram.These relays cost about $20.00 each but come in handy on weekends,the other relays are cheaper and can be used for cooling since no high limit comes into play then.Hope info helps.

An ICM 254 relay lets you control on and off delay. It must be used in conjunction with a fan relay.
A new board would be much safer.
