I am replacing my old Honeywell LR69071 thermostat with a new Honeywell RTH7000 and I'm having problems with getting it to kick on. I assume the wiring is screwed up. I have a 3ton Comfortmaker heat pump that has 6 wires from 2 lead wires coming into the old thermostat. One lead has a green and yellow, while the other has a green, red, blue, and white. Any help on how things supposed to get hooked up is appreciated.

The LR number doesn't help. Post the Q674? ???? number on your old subbase.
I hope you labeled each wire (Or wrote down your old wire combination) to prevent the need to trace your wiring at this point.

Too late on labeling, I looked at it quick and thought it was color coded with the R, Y, and etc. but obviously I'm wrong. Also the only markings that are on the thermostat are LR69071 and T841A1001, does that help any? I might have to retrace my wires now anyway. Like I said there's one lead wire presumably for air conditioning with 2 wires going to thermostat and the other has 4 going out to it for heat? Let me know if I'm seeing this right.

Houston204, that's awesome feedback and that's exactly what wire combos I see. I'll let you know what happens tomorrow. Thanks again.

It's that common wire that will do the damage if wired incorrectly. It is not very hard to trace it though.
The O wire is also in question.
If you can't figure it out, it may be cheaper to pay a tech.
