What was the fix for the first one?

I don't know about yours specifically, but in general you need to have above 1ľA DC. Normal is usually more like 3ľA. Often a problem like this comes from polarity being reversed on the incoming line voltage, or maybe the unit isn't grounded well enough externally or internally.

What is the model and serial# of the reznor. I don't think you should be putting any damper in the exhaust of that unit.
If the module is a BRAHMA then you need at least 1 microamp. But like Static said double check polarity and ground both are very important.

Be careful sometimes you don't get a second chance

the model is ADAP45 this unit has new burner design . the damper in vent was a test to see if venter motor was pulling to much air through throug H/Eor if vent suggested was to large , today i double check polarity but stop their because customer about to freeze his new boat , last nite temp drop to -38 deg cso today i install adp cayane and i am happy to say works right out of box will definately double check gruond and polarity on first unit tomorrow i am a licensed mechanic and realy appericiate all help just found site and have 20 years experiance with honeywell and johnson controls/york to shair thanks again

this is second coustomer with no heat in garage first unit i adjust gas pressure ,replace circuite board and sensor at supplyer request but still nothing.i though about ground and rechecked connections. gas pressure is very imporant so its been adjutsed ,again today i install the second unit and same problem thinking that id fan may be pulling flame to far into H/Ei installed volume damper in vent but no change . does the mount for flame sensor have any thing to do with ground kind of looks like its ment to isolate the sensor,i have a third unit to install but i dont think its going to be a reznor.

As already mentioned, the biggest issue with most flame sense problems is normally grounding issues. Are you sure the ground back at the breaker box that feeds the garage is a good one? If you have a waterpipe near by you might try putting a clamp on it and run a wire from the clamp to the heaters grounding lug. Have you taken the readings that Static suggested? If so what is it?

If in doubt call a pro !
