I have an Air Handler which has been identifed as a Trane M# T35V, and has the S# K1K204059 This is an old unit and is installed in the basement of a hospital. Can anyone tell me where to get info on the units cfm, is there an internet site which has literature on older units out there?

Any help would be appreciated,Thank you...

sometimes we get luckey and find data still stuck on the fan housing inside the unit, like a fan curve along with some build data, pully sizes, brake horsepower rating of the fan, etc.

your best bet would be to call trane direct with the model and serial number. they could tell you what it was originally built to do cfm-wise.

the size of the coil inside the unit can offer some clue. the MAXIMUM air you want going across an A/C coil is 450-500 cfm per square foot. beyond those numbers you start carrying condensate off the coil and into your fan/ductwork. 250-400 cfm per sq.ft. seems to be the norm with the lower numbers offering more dehumidification.

it needed to be replaced anyways.
