I received a quote for two Armstrong 16 seers 3 ton units. Is this a dependable brand? I received a Trane quote that is aprox $1400 more. Is trane worth the extra 1400? Any info would greatly be appreciated. Thanks

Pay the extra $1400 and get the Trane, much better brand. Along with a good unit, it has to be installed correctly.
Site is great to educate yourself but make the call to a PRO when it needs fixing.

Bravo for going 16 seer, it's well worth the extra money to do so. Trane is a top of the line unit but you may want to get a few more quotes just to be sure on the price. Just make sure each quote is offering the same level of appliance and warranties and that the company your buying from is reputable and has a good history.
