Does anyone know of a portable heater used for raising the pressure in a R-11 machine, kinda like a Aquapower on wheels.

There are a couple of methods for doing this: One- is to run hot water from the inhouse hot water system through the evap tubes Second- is to use a portable water heater as you describe. They have been around for years. Third- is to install electrical heating blankets on the evaporator shell under the insulation. This is a permanent installation and costs afew bucks
For general information: The pressure is raised on a low pressure chiller (R-11 & R-123)to leak check the machine. We used to use nitrogen to pressurize the units but as you all know (or should) that is no longer allowed. So how does one raise the pressure from 18" of vacuum to a positive pressure? HOT WATER! Just keep an eye on the pressures because blowing a rupture disk can ruin your day (and cost a lot of money).
All refrigerants are safe - All refrigerant are dangerous. The difference is YOU !!!

why do you need to raise the pressure? are you under a low load situation? did it work under a higher pressure before, now it runs low? there are things you can add to any chiller to stabilize pressures. just depends on what your a trying to chill/cool.
