What should flue gas from a 95% HE condensing furnace smell like?

Lol, that would be kinda hard to describe. It would be easier to describe what it should NOT smell like, lol.
Being that your's is brand new (right?) it will probably have kind of a sharp smell andf maybe a little smoky until all the manufacturing oil burns off.

As an aside...since Goodman's factory is within Houston's city limits, it is subject to the EPA's air quality regulations, they can't use an oil that evaporates like most other manufacturers do. That's why Goodman products are always slathered in oil, especially their condensers.

Is there a particular reason or concern behind your question?

Static,

Thanks for asking, as a matter of fact there is.

But I would like you to tell me what you think my flue gas smells like. Please?

And thank you for your kind response regarding that big beef over...... well lets not even mention it.

OK, OK, I got a faint smell of chlorine... what does that mean?

Thanks
