I have an Arcoaire furnace that is about 10 years old that has been running pretty steady this winter (cold up here). I got up this morning, and my house was 54 degrees. The furnace was running, but blowing cold air. I took off the panel, and watched it cycle for awhile. Seems to be going through a normal ignition sequence, only the ignitor doesn't light up. I changed it 3-4 years ago, so I know it has been a problem before. Do you think it sounds like that could be the problem again? What is the life cycle on an ignitor for a furnace that runs pretty steady? Is there a way a can test it? Thanks.

If you have 120v going to the HSI but no glow, replace it.

Sure enough, that's what it was.
Replaced and up and running.
Thanks!
