Would like some feedback/opinions as to what is the correct reading for Superheat/Subcooling. Grew up in the biz on residential side, went to college got associates in hvacr and have been on the commercial end of the biz for little over 4 years. Have heard several different opinions from different journeymen in the field and read different things in books. I am not asking how/where to take the readings. For example have heard superheat good at 8-12, subcool good 12-20. Heard superheat 8-20 good n 15-20 subcool good. Then heard subcool should never go above 15 and superheat never go above 20. Watched copeland vid on u tube and it said s/h should be 20. Opinions???? Have got mixed info in books, school, on job....

There is no perfect superheat or subcoling value. Perfect is different for each system. Typically the correct superheat can be between 5 and 25, maybe higher. subcooling usually between 8 and 15.

You can't put a price on comfort! Be Safe.
