brand new to the site... but having trouble with Comfortmaker (Tempstar) NHP030AKC1 and looking for some help!?

the fan blade broke a few weeks ago and when the service man came to check it out he did not remove the broken part(s). now when he came to replace it he says that there is cutting/damaged to the lines and internal parts and that it may not be covered under my home protection warranty.

the pump is only 3.5 years old (same as house) so shouldn't this still be under manufacturers warranty anyway?

If the fan just broke with no fault of your own, then it should be under the manufacter's warranty. It is usually about 5 years on parts and 1 year on labor. You may have to pay for the labor to repair. My question is if the lines were damaged, did it create a hole and all your freon leaked out. Also, Why did he not remove the old part? If he did not remove the old part before the other damage occured, then he should perform that repair at a minimum charge if any at all. Alot of these home warranty guys try to get extra money from homeowners because the warranty company finds the cheapest guy out there to repair it the cheapest. Good Luck
