I have a lennox furnace G43UF series (high efficiency). The blower is running but no heat is coming on. The led readout is red blinking (first led) and green on (second led) which says "primary or secondary limit switch open. limit must close within 3 minutes or unit goes into 1 hour watchguard" The system probably stopped because of a dirty filter (very dirty) which I changed. I shut the system down and turned it on a few hours later (with th e heat still off) at which point both leds were blinking normal operation and there is no flame (looking through the little window on the syetm. But as soon as I put the heat back on the leds go to the red blinking green on mode. How do I close the limit switch and where is it on my system.

I will post the codes and from what you are saying the limit could be stuck in the open position. The high limit is a flat plate that is approx 2" wide by 3" high and has two wires attached to it. It sits flat on the furnace behind the gas valve. You can try tapping on it lightly but it still should be replaced if that does the trick.

Be careful sometimes you don't get a second chance
