"Carrier 58vua100 Furnace problem" , posted Thu 28 Feb 15:38

I am getting four different codes when I reset the furnace, 32,34,42,43. Sometimes the burners will light, sometimes the pilot will not even spark. Ended up switching the number 4 setup switch to emergency heat and run the furnace on high stage until I can diagnose the problem. Wondering if anyone has any diagnostic troubleshooting info for this furnace.

Could be many things. Is that NG or LP? You need to check the entire venting system for blockages, clean furnace condensate trap, make sure all pressure tubes are intact and free of water or debris. Also check gas pressures in and out. It is also possible the secondary heat exchanger could be sooty even though it shouldn't be. May even be a hole in the heat exchanger.
