i am replacing my ge weathertron bay 28x139 thermostat with a honeywell rth3100c. it is a digital non programmable thermostat. the problem i am encountering is i have an extra wire. there are 8 wires coming out of the wall but only 7 called out in the honeywell book. the wire in question is a brown wire labeled T. every other wire matches the guide in the installation book. what is the brown wire T for and what do i do with it?

Tape off T (brown).

Refer to note 2.
