I have a LED that flashes four times, my filter was plugged so it would have over heated I just don't know what to replace... I can't see any reset switches or anything to work for the interm. When I turn on the heat, the blower kicks on and just blows cool air. Any advice on what to do would be appreciated.

thanks

To tell anyone that you have an led light flashing 4 times wont mean anything, it should be posted on the inside of the furnace door as to what that led code means. Although I would most likely imagine after it overheated multiple times it's your high limit, if its manual reset it will be a tiny red button with two wires coming from it, on the inside of your furnace. if its not manual reset you will just see two wires an inch or so apart on the back wall on an insulated plate. This can be checked with a multimeter (if you have 24volts across those terminals the switch must be removed and replaced) That switch CAN NOT be bypassed

When asked what steps to take while smelling natural gas please take my advice "long and rapid!!!"

What make and model is this furnace?

Try removing then restoring power at the light switch or breaker to reset the board.

"Tip of the Day" Remember to remove power first.
