I have an older (late 70's?) electric heat pump furnace and am thinking about installing a newer high seer outside unit. Problem is...I don't know the size, tonnage,BTU's etc. The model # on the exising unit is HP20-411-1P. Can anyone cross-reference? Thanks a ton! ; )

Oh my bad. I overlooked the fact that u said GE. I am not familiar with GE model #'s but it does look alot like a lennox model #. Lennox uses weird #'s like 411 to represent 3 tons.

To achieve higher seer/efficiency you must also replace indoor unit. 3 ton=36000 btu.
