1992 Bryant M#584BNW024060AAAE - Unit blower & exhaust fan runs continuosly in heat mode,No ignition,No fire. Two HVAC techs called & replaced limit switch twice, roll out switch & T-Stat. No help.System will only ignite & fire, when limit switch is shorted., but blower & fan never stops. Both ended up scrathing their heads and suggesting I purchase a new system. They examined the system throughly,No heat exchanger leaks,no voltage irregularities. System has worked fine, till now. Don't want to trash whole system, just because it's old. Any suggestions.... Any body ?
Thanks for all help.

If you look inside the furnace were the limit is there is was is called a 'fuseible link'(Looks like a red resiter) its in series with the limit connected by red wire. jumper fuse and then limit. any hvac company parts counter will have that part.

Are you the partschanger who already replaced that switch twice without actually finding the cause of the problem? Maybe they need another new thermostat too.

Sounds like you've got some "partschanging hackers" working on your system. If you call them back enough times they will eventually replace the right part. I would suggest calling someone with a brain! Or you could spend thousands on a new system just because they can't figure it out. If your limit switch keeps tripping you probably have a dirty a/c coil(assuming the filter is clean). If it is a rollout switch then maybe you should replace the furnace.

So... how do you get someone that has a brain? When you call their service centers they send whichever tech thats available. I think sometimes, If I had a repair manual, I could exercise the process of elimination has well as they do. But need to get fixed so, if youve had similar problem, please respond.
Thanks for all help.

OK Shut off furnace at switch then turn back on. This will reset the furnace. Then watch and note the sequence of events and report them back to me. If it has a blinking LED light then report that code also. If it fires up, time it and tell me how long it stays lit. Do you have a voltmeter? Do you have A/C? Doublecheck that model# as I can't seem to find info on that unit.

Correct MDL#584BNW024060AABE,gas packaged system, OK ... Flipped breaked off then on. Exhaust fan & blower start up, System ignites & fires. T-stat set auto/heat, 70*. System stops firing when T-stat reached 85*, but exhaust fan & blower keeps running. Only stops when power is cut. Rmvd panels, cant find circuit board, only series of relays. System schematic is intact & readable. What tells system (other than T-stat) to shut off blower when set temp is reached?
Thanks for all help.

Now I'm confused. You said the stat was set to 70? and the burner shut off at 85? That would be a new problem. Are you sure you didn't set it to 85 before testing it? Anyhow you will need a meter to continue.

T-stat was set for 70, but didnt stop firing till house temp reach 85. Problem still same. Blower & exhaust fan never stops running. I have meter, what do I check?
Thanks for all help.

I cant find info on that but do this. Shut unit off. Then disconnect tstat wires. This will eliminate stat and wires from the equation. Restore power and see if problem persists. If so then you must find where the voltage to the heatig circuit is coming from. Exhaust fan should not be powered when there's no call for heat. Could be several things but I would start with that.
