I replaced an old Rheem AC unit with a new Trane 14 seer unit around 5 years ago. Since them I have replaced the fan motor that is located by the compressor 5 times. Is there anyone else that is experiencing the same problem. 250 dollars labor every time.

Call a different contractor. Have him check the capacitor to it and the voltage. They don't burn out that often. Have you had the outdoor coil properly washed/cleaned? Post the model and serial #. We have some Trane pro's here.
