I would like to replace my thermostats with new, programmable thermostats. I want to be sure to purchase the correct thermostat and wire it correctly. The online installation instructions for the Honeywell model I'm considering indicate the wiring is different for A/C units versus heat pumps. I'm not positive which kind of units I have. The model #s are Goodman CKJ42 and CLJ30. Are these straight A/C or heat pumps.
Also, my gas heat also is controlled by the same thermostat.
Thanks.
Mike

If you have GAS to your furnace, it is likely that you do not have a heat pump. Unless an installer really messed up. :)

You do not have heat pumps.
"Tip of the Day" Remember to remove power first.
