on 4/11/08 had the evap. coil (Goodman AR42-1, 3.5 ton new w/ new construction home in May 2002) replaced $382 part, $500 labor for two(2)gentlemen to remove/replace. Now, today, after a strong smell of burning plastic when running in Cooling mode, same company comes to inspect - its the motor.....hmmmm. Coincidence I ask him? on the spot given estimate of $150 -200. hrs later on phone $299+ schematics online show the motor & evaporator coil interconnected. So, the original two guys bungle job to cause delayed motor failure? Comments anyone please.

You're pretty quick to blame your techs for blowing the motor. Actually the motor has absolutely nothing to do with evaporator coil. Just a coincidence. Sucks to be you. Goodman sucks too. My company would have charged considerably more for both repairs. It sounds like they're taking good care of you.
