My condenser fan works periodically, it may work for a few hours or days. Sometimes it won't work for day's. The fan spins freely and I replaced the run capacitor. When it runs and then shuts off the condensing unit makes a hissing noise and then shuts down after a few minutes, any suggestions?

The fan motor is shot and should be replaced before you run unit. Keep running it like that and you will need a new compressor too.
