I have to solder a TXV and a hot gas bypass. I cannot remove the guts on the hot gas bypass. Question is what kind of solder to use? 1-the TXV is on the low side and the hot gas is on the high. I have (stay brite silver bearing solder 1/8 dia) and (saftey-silv 56), being silver I hope it has enough strength to hold up. Can I use these without worring about burning the guts up. Even though I use a wet rag to keep these devices from burning up. Yesterday I tried the "saftey-silv but it just didnt want to stick no mater how hot I made it, it just rolled right off. Please help and appreciate all comments..

I would either wrap the TXV with wet rags or buy some heat resistant paste. You can solder liquid and suction lines, not discharge lines

15% and high temp flux.
"Tip of the Day" Remember to remove power first.
