I have a Rudd 10 seer.
After my unit sits a day or so, I can turh it on and it starts to cool for about 3 minutes. After the 3 minutes, the condenser fan kicks off. After restarting it, the fan works for about 30 seconds then kicks off. I thought it may be the fan going bad so I replaced it. Needless to say, it does the same thing. I had another cap. so I changed it and still the same thing. No breakers are tripped and the fuses check out.
Help, it's hot down here in Louisiana.....
Thanks

Hi, How come you're picking on blower motor? Any logical reason from trouble shooting? Another component is compressor. If you keep trying to run it without knowing what's going on, you may end up damaging something incurring more expensive remedy.

Well, I'm not running it. I came home from work one day and it wasn't cooling. I kept it off until I could change the fan motor then got the same results.
Thanks

If you are going to troubleshoot by replacing parts randomly, I suggest replacing them in order of cheapest to most expensive! For the cost of that motor you could have bought a multimeter, used it to find the 1 bad part or problem, kept the change, and have the meter for future needs.
