I have a Simple Comfort 2200 thermostat. Recently it has been going through AA batteries very quickly. Is there a solve to this? Or, do I need a new thermostat?

Hi,
How long do they last? Mine last way over a year. I use Alkaline or Lithium batteries. Using a brand name ones like that pinky bunny ones?
