I have two residential AHUs side by side supplying one condenser in a lite commercial application. I recently replaced a burnedout fan motor in one of the AHUs. I used 3/4 HP 115V replacement. The condenser unit fired-up, hesitated and began working. I went back inside to check the fan and the board was flashing "neutral reverse" . All power comes from the first unit. It's almost as if the second unit is a dummy unit or a fan only unit. The door switch was shorted before I changed anything. Could the board have already been fried before I began repairs? Or did I somehow rewire incorrectly. I was only told to change the fan out. I noticed the fan door switch shorted wire and reported it but did not expect the board as I was given specific directions what the problem was. I need a solution before monday. Feeling trapped.

Unlike 230v, which uses two hot legs, 115v is obtained between neutral and hot.

You probably have the neutral and hot reversed of incoming power source reversed, which is a safety issue.
