Im trying to fix an old 1.5 ton a/c unit, its compressor is running and charged, but the liquit line pressure shown me as low as 140 and the suction line pressure shown me too high, this system doesn't have any TXV and it doesn't have exterior filters dryer in both lines. Does anybody tell something about it? Thanks

Sounds like bad valves. Does the compressor have a low amp draw?
Will it pump down, if you front seat the high side valve and run it?
"Tip of the Day" Remember to remove power first.

Hi my teacher, yes the compressor has very low amp draw, the Systen is not cooling (nothing), liquid line shown me a very low pressure and suction line shown me very high pressure,in other words your diagrams explain exactly what happens.Definitely you're right the compressor has a weak valves performance, I have order a new Unit to replace it. Thank you so much for all your strong support.
Sincerely,
