I just replaced my old rheem seer 11 5 ton unit with a new rheem seer 13 5 ton unit for efficiency purposes. But my house doesn't cool like it used to, the system is running much longer to cool, and the temperature does not feel the same. The system was reinspectd for leaks, correct gas pressure, the thermostat is the same digital thermostat I used to have, and no new air vents were put in. ANy ideas as to what might be happening would be appreciated
help me out

Is the unit in a regular upflow furnace or in the attic and horizontal? If in a furnace perhaps the installer left a sheet metal gap at the base of the A coil and air is blowing by. If in the attic you may have an air leak and be blowing it into the attic. You have the same capacity so it should cool the same and better if new. The installer needs to find out why or call a more experienced tech. Lots of different parameters I would have to see and check myself to find out why.

Measure the temperature at your air intake and the supply air temperature at your grills. What is your temperature drop?
"Tip of the Day" Remember to remove power first.
